Health Law involves various aspects of hospital operations, including hospital certification, accreditation and licensure; professional peer review, credentialing and licensure; and state and federal requirements related to the provision of emergency medical services and patient transfers; managed care and antitrust, including parameters for managed care contracting; network formation; network billing arrangements; management services arrangements; fraud and abuse, and Stark Law anti-kickback statutes and safe laws; non-profit and tax exemption issues, including disregarded entity rules for tax exempt bonds; and, a knowledge and competence of a client’s rights, liabilities, defenses, remedies and damage. |
