The goal of Verdict One is to connect consumers to the best attorneys for their legal issues. We promote board certified lawyers because they've met established benchmarks for experience, ethics and suitability to specific legal issues.

Our Story

Verdict One was born when our founder needed a will. While looking for the right attorney to help him, he discovered how haphazard the search process was. Getting good recommendations was tough, but it was even tougher to make certain that attorney had the right credentials and experience to handle his problem. Was there a way to be certain that the attorney had enough experience with wills—and wasn’t really better at another kind of law? What if he needed an attorney for a different legal issue—could he be sure he was getting the right person for the right job?

As a physician, he knew that doctors had to go through rigorous testing to achieve board certification in their area of expertise. Was there a similar process for attorneys? Through his research for his own legal issues, he discovered that attorneys, like doctors, can be certified as experts in certain areas of law. He formed Verdict One with the goal of making it easier for anyone who needs legal help to find a board certified attorney with proven expertise in a particular legal area. T
